A data hub is responsible for the transportation of data between source systems and target systems and forms an international hub of connectivity. A data hub helps companies consolidate and share data, which can then be used as a driving force for analytics and AI workloads. A data hub typically has a hub-and-spoke architecture that allows different systems to exchange data with each other through the data hub, which is much more efficient than data exchange through point-to-point connections where each system is individually connected to each other system where data needs to be shared.
