A private cloud is a cloud environment that is accessible only to your company: you never share a private cloud with other businesses. Important to know is that the physical server of your private cloud may be located at an external location with a partner such as LCL. What remains important is that the infrastructure and network for your private cloud are completely private and therefore not shared with other companies and organizations.
For workloads that do not need to scale, preference is given to private cloud because it is cheaper.
