Colt Technology Services has decided to add a network node to its IQ Network in Belgium. The new node will be housed in LCL’s data center in Diegem. This partnership will enable international businesses in Belgium to access Colt’s global IQ Network through the node in Diegem.
At the point of intersection between FLAP markets
One of the reasons why Colt Technology Services has chosen for LCL is its strategic location in Europe. LCL’s data center in Diegem is located at a global crossroads, at the point of intersection between Europe’s biggest data center markets, namely Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam and Paris, also known as the FLAP markets. This location is also excellent because it is close enough to the city of Brussels where many of our customers are located who need a lot of bandwidth.
The new node will have the most advanced technology in the Colt network. The network is also being diversified and strengthened, and its capacity will be expanded so that it can cope with today’s rapidly increasing data volumes. It fits the strategy of Colt to have more smaller yet efficient distributed nodes, rather than larger centralised ones.
Adapting your available bandwidth in real-time
All parties with a presence in or a connection to LCL’s data center in Diegem, will be able to use flexible on-demand services on Colt’s IQ Network. Concretely, they can reserve more or less bandwidth in real time. Colt’s services deliver value for many use cases, including: cost-efficient business continuity, agile connectivity for urgent and temporary needs, bandwidth growth management, and enhancing the end-user experience in the cloud.
Finally, this partnership will enhance LCL’s ecosystem of interconnectivity, enabling all parties with a presence in our data centers to offer each other added value, and it supports co-creation.
