Diegem, 29 May 2018 - LCL, specialist in data center management, has appointed Wilfried Landsheer as sales manager. As a new business developer, Lut Wilms will also focus on further expanding LCL's market share. Landsheer is in charge of the business development team. With his years of experience in the IT world in the field of sales and management, he is the perfect person to take the sales team of LCL to a higher level.

As a sales manager, Wilfried Landsheer is part of the LCL management team, is responsible for the organization of the sales activities and is in charge of the business development team. "LCL is a company in constant growth," says Landsheer. “We are now one of the top three data centers in Belgium. To be able to continue this growth, we need a solid customer base, and I want to contribute to that. LCL stands for high-tech and hyper-secure data centers, I want to translate that into added value for the customer. ”

"LCL also has a unique position in the data center landscape thanks to its customer-oriented approach," says Laurens van Reijen, Managing Director of LCL. “We know our customers and think along with them for the best solution. We want to support them in their growth and that is how LCL grows. We therefore attach importance to the experience of our employees. With the recruitment of a 50-year-old for business development and a 60-year-old for sales management, we have a lot of experience to continue our growth course. ”

In addition, LCL stands out as a company in the IT sector thanks to the number of women working there. Figures from the Uptime Institute (April 2018), an international independent data center advisory organization, show that women are under-represented in the data center industry. In most companies in the sector, fewer than 5% women work. "With the recruitment of Lut Wilms, the percentage of women in our team comes to more than 35," continues Van Reijen. "That is quite special in the IT world and we are proud of that."

"I enjoy working for challenging companies where it is still possible to conquer part of the market," says Wilms. “The LCL data centers are not tied to carriers, system integrators or managed service providers who manage the IT infrastructure of our customers. As a result, there are always multiple parties involved. Those relationships also need to be managed: we want to offer added value for the end customer as well as for other parties. ”
