Uptime Elastix, a hybrid cloud provider and part of the Cronos Group, will now be offering its cloud services from the LCL data centers in Diegem and Aalst. They can offer Uptime Elastix all the space it needs to expand its range of cloud services and to accommodate its growth. That is crucial, since Uptime Elastix’s revenue from cloud services increased by 70 percent in 2016.
Uptime Elastix, the cloud business unit of the Uptime Group, offers various cloud services to its customers: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS). For that purpose, it rents space at two of LCL’s data centers. At the site in Diegem, for instance, they host a construction group’s entire IT system in a cloud solution. From the LCL data center in Aalst, Uptime Elastix provides its customers with Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS).
According to Uptime Elastix, LCL is one of the best data centers in Belgium. LCL’s central point of contact and the fact that the data remain in Belgium are a bonus for them, but the biggest advantage is LCL’s carrier-neutrality, which enables them to use various internet service providers. The fact that we are also ISO certified convinced them that we can help them offer their customers secure and sustainable services.
The companies of the Uptime Group greatly value certification and training – which, of course, fits in perfectly with LCL’s DNA. Also important, especially in terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is that Uptime Elastix now has a complete range of cloud services within the Belgian borders. After all, companies need to know where their data is stored.
