A new year brings new colleagues. We are pleased to present our three new employees: Floris, Bart and Wim.
Boschmans joined LCL as our Marketing and Communication Manager
in December. Wim has an extensive background as a marketing and communication professional, including in the technological sector. His expertise will reinforce our commercial strategy and enhance our internal and external communication. Wim will also be in charge of organizing our successful events, such as the Carrier Event and the LCL North Sea Regatta, which he will work on with Evelien Van Eetvelde, LCL's Marketing and Office Assistant.
Having worked for larger businesses for many years, Wim was looking for something different. “LCL has given me a great deal of responsibility and freedom, which will allow me to achieve many things. It also makes for a varied job. And thanks to the accessible corporate structure and the friendly, spontaneous team environment, I started to feel at home here very quickly.”
According to Wim, many people have an incorrect perception of what a data center is. “One of my duties at LCL is to dispel these inaccurate views. For me, the biggest challenge is to translate technological ideas into plain language, so that LCL's added value is clear to our customers.”

with many years' experience in the world of data centers, is extremely knowledgeable and is happy to help with technical installations at our data centers in Diegem, Antwerp and Aalst. LCL guarantees a flexible service and offers customized solutions.
“Having done the same job for many years, working at LCL's data centers comes as a breath of fresh air,”
Bart explained. “I now face new challenges, and so I'm learning a great deal. Moreover, I've been placed in a very strong team at LCL. I really like working here!”
Smits has also joined our team in the role of Facilities Engineer
. An industrial engineer by training, Floris is responsible for the day-to-day organization of all our data centers. Among other things, he will be involved in testing and maintaining the technical infrastructure and will co-manage the critical security and access control systems. Floris’ expertise in the area of HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) and electricity will help us use energy efficiently and guarantee the continuous operation of our data centers.
Floris settled in quickly at LCL: “Whenever you start somewhere new, you need to take the time to get to know the way of working within the organization. The first time I visited the data center I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a different world, and I now help to keep it all running continuously.”
Welcome to our team, Floris, Bart and Wim! We would like to wish each of you a successful and enjoyable career at LCL.
