LCL Data Center Diegem
to be expanded
- The existing data center has been renovated and
expanded into a completely new state-of-the-art data
center. The power and cooling capacity has been quadrupled
and the new data center has become fully operational in January 2010.
-
Bladeserver ready
- The current trend in data centers is more compactness, more power and density. New
generations of processors are becoming increasingly compact and powerful as a result of
which servers require more power and generate more heat. In bladeservers particularly
the density is taken to extremes. LCL is ready for these new kind of servers.
-
Capacity x4
- LCL has quadrupled the power and cooling capacity in Diegem by building a new electrical installation and providing extra space for your racks and suites. A new high-voltage
transformer, emergency generators and UPS were implemented.
-
Latest cooling techniques
- The new airco installation means your servers use the latest cooling techniques.
The centrally produced cooling-water is divided over the data center and meets all
redundancy criteria. The cooling is taken as close as possible to the servers to
accurately eliminate hot spots.
-
Extra guarantees for power and air cooling
- The existing emergency power supply was replaced by a redundant system of 5 new
generators. The cooling installation as well as the pumps and pipes were made redundant.
-
More extras
- LCL has used the construction works to landscape the whole Diegem estate: new car park,
new access control and two conference rooms where you and your customers can meet
comfortably after a tour.
